Helena Ekholm is a retired Swedish biathlete who was born on August 6, 1984, in Sollefteå, Sweden. She began her biathlon career in 2003 and has competed in World Cups, World Championships, and the Olympic Games. She won a gold medal in the women's relay events at the 2009 and 2010 World Championships. In the 2011 Biathlon World Cup, she won the overall title and was named the Swedish Sportswoman of the Year.
Ekholm was known for her exceptional shooting skills as she has had the highest shooting percentages in biathlon history. She retired from competitive biathlon in 2014, citing a lack of motivation to continue racing. After retiring from biathlon, she focused on her studies and earned a Master's degree in Business Administration. She now works as an investment manager.
